Alabama Family Law - What We Do

Military Family Law

The daily pressures of home life are magnified all the more for military families. Whether a family is moving around from base to base or just trying to balance life at home with a demanding commission, it's difficult to keep things together. If a marriage fails or domestic violence becomes an issue, the complexities of the laws involved are distinct in that in many cases the military justice system may be involved. Other considerations for military personnel (particularly for those who travel or move frequently) include child custody and visitation. In those cases, standard arrangements for civilian families are all too often impractical for the average military family. In the event of a divorce, the federal and state laws which govern potential division of a service member’s retirement and which protect a military service member’s former spouse also become extremely important issues, all of which require considerable knowledge and attention to detail.

At The Law Offices of Judy H. Barganier, P.C., we feel privileged to be in a position to serve the needs of the families of Alabama's military installations. Whether in Montgomery proper at Maxwell-Gunter AFB or further out in Fort Rucker, our military divorce lawyers are dedicated to helping military clients throughout Alabama. We'll use our expertise and unique experience with military family law cases to resolve complicated issues with the utmost professionalism and sensitivity for the unique needs of military personnel.
